LFC IA MARYLAND JOINS NATIONAL ACADEMY LEAGUE

We are excited to announce that we have been accepted to the National Academy League for the 2025-26 season!

Our invitation to join the National Academy League (NAL) marks a significant milestone for our club, enhancing the development pathway for our players. This new program will serve as the elite tier of league competition at our club. It will see us field teams at the U13, U14, U15, U16, U17 and U19 age groups. The home facility of this program will be our state-of-the-art Moose Athletic Center and creates an opportunity for a new elite tier of competition for our players across our three locations in Maryland.

Why the expansion to NAL?

NAL provides a highly competitive platform that enhances player development, expands scouting exposure, and strengthens our club’s pathway to college and beyond. Key benefits include:

Continued Opportunities for ALL Players in the Club

It is important to note that this tier of competition is only offered to those age groups at full sided (11v11) competition level. We will continue to enter teams into USYS National League & EDP across our three locations to ensure appropriate development experiences! We see this move as an opportunity to elevate the overall standard of our club, pushing all players to strive for higher levels of development and competition.

Next Steps

 NAL Identification Sessions – Players will have the opportunity to attend ID sessions at the Moose Athletic Center to be evaluated for NAL selection. Dates for these sessions will be released in the coming weeks.

 Regular Updates – Ongoing communication through email, social media, and club meetings to keep everyone informed.
